Wow, Is That Really Me!!!!

Hair Haters!

I never knew the intensity of the hate that I would recieve when I decided to go natural with my hair in April 2008. I know that it is not looked upon by most of the black women in my life as beautiful and I recieve looks of disgust by other women and men in my own black dominated community. I am jsut wondering why we hate what God gave us so much that we can not see it's awesome beauty. I am by no means an all black women must throw away there No Lyes and buy Afro picks and Loc twist cream kind of women. I made a choice to go natural when I got tired of paying hairdressers to cut my thinning hair every week. I never did have the thick lusterous hair that I have now with the many years of relaxing and I did feel cute enough until my style went flat and my hair broke off with the relaxings. I prefer to be natural with my hair, I am in love with my comb when I see no hair in my sink, on my floor, drapped across my shoulders and chest and lifelessly dry in my hands. My thick and soft crown of glory is my own. Whether it is twisted, puffed out, afro fabulous, or braided down. I don't mind being called Cecily from the Color Purple. I look good, so whatever haters! You just mad 'cause I don't look bad!
